Exhausted People of the World Unite!
Trying to stay on top of life at the moment is getting hard.
Harder than anticipated.
Weirdly, awfully, much worse than other years.
So, I made 10 illustrations to take my mind off of things and I think you'll like them too.
Short and simple, there are words but not too many. The kind of content tired eyes can appreciate.
If you need any further spiel to scroll down you ain't gonna get it. Hey, I'm tired, it's in the title.
Look or don't... but I am going to have a nap now, my work here is done
1. I feel like we've all come to embrace the same realisation recently:
2. And despite it all, we're still working hard to try and get shit done. Go us!
But that means that it's even more annoying when stuff gets in the way:
3. Before we start feeling like what we're doing to stave off the boredom is the best and only thing everyone should be getting up to, let's have an ego check. Remember that it doesn't matter how lovely a flower is, sometimes flowers can be a little toxic too.
It's important to remember that we are all fucking things up constantly:
4. Speaking of fucking up, for all the prickly people out there:
5. And if you're not prickly at all but have spent lockdown perfecting your skin-care routine, I commend you, but let's remind ourselves to focus on what matters: Not being a dick.
As a wise woman once said, "don't call me pretty and then cut me down":
6. Especially when it's most important to focus on how sweet and kind someone is:
7. However, even the sweetest pea in the garden needs space. Eloquently put below:
8. And if you need something a little stronger than a 'buzz off', the below is sure to piss off your nearest and dearest (as well as new people you don't know):
9. Seeing as we haven't had much contact with anyone else for so long, we've clearly started to cope differently.
In the anti-social camp, we have let lots of social-norms fall to the wayside.
Eye contact is one of them. It's just not essential to a Zoom call I'm afraid, RIP:
10. Finally, in the anti-social camp, we've taken the idiom 'an Englishman's home is his castle' and run with it. Dear Lord, let's work from home forever and ever, Amen:
If you made it this far I applaud your commitment to finishing a blog entry.
You are the backbone of society and Google should be paying you for your time.
And if you enjoyed any of the above, most designs are available as prints or mugs on my shop site, click this pic for more ....
